Vermont

According to "The Flora of Vermont", by Frank Conkling Seymour, published by The University of Vermont (my copy was dated 1969), there are 1,927 plant species in the state of Vermont, plus 20 hybrids, 365 additional varieties, and 440 additional forms, for a total of 2,752 kinds of plants which grow naturally in Vermont. This obviously does not include indoor plants, or those cultivated by man, unless they have the ability to self-perpetuate themselves.
